Google Pixel phones get new feature that automatically remembers Bluetooth/Wi-Fi status in airplane mode

After enabling Airplane Mode in the Android 11 version, users can turn on the Bluetooth function. The Pixel device also supports enabling Wi-Fi after enabling Airplane Mode in a recent version update.

Pixel users recently tried to turn on Wi-Fi in Airplane mode and the following system notification popped up: “Wi-Fi is currently enabled in Airplane mode. if you want to keep Wi-Fi on, it will be automatically enabled the next time you enter Airplane mode”.

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both disabled by default when users first open Airplane Mode on their Android phones. Users can choose to turn them on to ensure that they continue to stay connected to their smartwatch and headset while in flight. If you exit Airplane mode while maintaining Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, then the next time you enter it, the automatic memory will remain on as well.

Another system-level prompt will remind you of your choice the next time you turn on Airplane mode, and you can change it back to the default behavior by turning off Wi-Fi in Airplane mode.
