Rumours circulating the internet have it that the Google Pixel 7a will launch with some upgrades to its camera and design material.

The Google Pixel 7a will launch in the second quarter of the year 2023 and speculations of certain upgrades are already available. Some of the upgrades that Google will make (although unofficial) on its coming A-series device are with its camera and build quality. These upgrades will make the soon-to-launch budget Pixel device more of a flagship killer than the Google Pixel 6a.

Instead of a 12MP sensor for the main camera like we have on the Pixel 6a, the 7a entry is said to use a 50MP sensor. This will mean that the next-generation Google A-series smartphone is going to feature better photography abilities than its predecessors. The device will launch with a dual camera cutout, and the second sensor might stick to the 12MP lens on the Google Pixel 6a.

When it comes to design, rumours have it that the Google Pixel 7a will launch with a ceramic build in place of plastic. This upgrade will make the device feel more like a premium smartphone and possibly grab the attention of onlookers. If this claim is accurate, then we can expect to see wireless charging on the coming Google A-series device.

For its processor, the Google Pixel 7a will also use the Tensor G2 processor, bringing a flagship experience to a budget device. Other information and in-depth specification of this coming device will be made available in the coming months. If these upgrades are accurate, it might affect the pricing of the Pixel 7a at launch, edging the device closer to the $400 price point.
