According to Strategy Analytics, shipments of the global tablet market fell 16% to 38.2 million units in the third quarter of 2022.

Among them, Samsung and Amazon ranked in the forefront with a much lower decline. Samsung’s Q3 tablet shipments were better than expected at 7.2 million units, down just 4% year-over-year; Amazon also performed relatively well, with shipments down just 5% to 3.7 million units, thanks to Prime Day promotions and a refreshed 7-inch portfolio; in addition, Apple shipments fell 14% to 14.9 million units, but its market share still ranked first at 39%; Lenovo shipments fell 37% to 2.7 million units, with a 7% market share to 2.7 million units, with a 7 percent market share.

Despite the 33% year-on-year decline in shipments, Huawei’s market share is still in the top five of the tablet market, with 1.3 million units shipped in the third quarter.
