According to the official announcement of Google Fiber, is looking for eight companies, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions, in the United States Austin, Huntsville, Raleigh-Durham and Salt Lake City four cities to expand the test 20 Gig broadband project.

Google is already testing the 20 Gig high-speed service with the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and testing data sets with the School of Science and Engineering.

Google is expected to accelerate the 20 Gig broadband project by joining forces with eight new partners, head of the Google Fiber project:

We are very excited about how users will use such a high-speed network. We’ve had a strong market response to our 5 Gig and 8 Gig broadband projects, and we’re continuing to meet user demand by testing 20 Gig.

Google Fiber has already launched 5 Gig and 8 Gig services with upstream and downstream parity in select cities in the U.S., and we can expect the upcoming 20 Gig project to achieve upstream and downstream parity as well.
