Galaxy S23 Ultra will still use the 10 Million 3x Periscope Telephoto Lens

0

A month ago, it was announced that the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ would feature the same telephoto lens as their predecessors, which is a 10-megapixel lens with 3x zoom. According to the latest news shared by German tech media Galaxy Club, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will also feature this telephoto lens.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature a 10MP resolution and a 10x periscope camera, the same specs used on the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Although the same hardware is used, Samsung will bring better optics or a larger sensor for better photos.

The specifications of the second telephoto camera are not yet known. It will probably use the same 10MP 3x zoom module as the first two generations, but it could also be upgraded. In terms of the main camera, it is speculated that the 108MP HM3 sensor (1/1.33″, 0.8µm pixels) from the current model may be upgraded to 200MP (probably HP1, 1/22″, 0.64µm). Naturally, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is still more than six months away, so all this information is subject to change.
