Full Field End-to-End Encryption, Password Manager Proton Pass Released

0

Proton, which focuses on privacy protection, recently announced its involvement in the field of password managers after secure emails and calendars, launching an end-to-end encrypted password manager called Proton Pass.

Proton said that compared with other mainstream password managers, the advantage of Proton Pass is that it enables end-to-end encryption for all fields including usernames and URLs.

Proton Pass uses a strong bcrypt password hash, using Secure Remote Password (SRP) for strong authentication. Proton Pass is also one of the first password managers to fully integrate a two-factor authenticator (2FA) and support 2FA autofill.

Proton Pass is open source and has currently released Beta versions for iPhone / iPad, Android, Brave and Chrome browsers.
