The new F2.8 large aperture lens offers the usual zoom range of 27mm to 75mm in 35mm equivalent format and has a large F2.8 aperture within the overall zoom range, with the closest focusing distance of 12.1cm and a maximum magnification of 1:2.8.
The 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN 丨 Contemporary lens features a compact and lightweight design, according to Sigma. 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN utilizes three high-precision glass mill-cast aspherical lenses, reducing the total number of lenses used as much as possible to achieve better optical quality while maintaining light weight.
According to the report, Sigma optimized the autofocus drive and data transfer speed for the X-mount interchangeable lens. In addition to high-speed autofocus, the lens also supports AF-C mode (continuous autofocus) and is compatible with in-camera aberration correction.
