Mozilla launched the desktop version of Firefox 111 browser at the same time, also launched the Android version of Firefox 111 update. This update mainly adds the feature of Total Cookie Protection.

Total Cookie Protection is one of Firefox’s privacy features, first introduced in Firefox 86 (not the default setting), then extended to private browsing mode in Firefox 89 (privacy mode is enabled by default), and further improved in Firefox 91 to prevent data leakage.

The Mozilla press release as follows.

By making Total Cookie Protection available to all users by default, Firefox now leaves Chrome and Edge in the dust when it comes to privacy protection. mozilla believes that while advertising is at the heart of the Internet economy, privacy protection for consumers should not be optional.

Total Cookie Protection works by creating a separate cookie storage area (Cookie Jar) for each website you visit. Rather than having trackers associate your behavior on multiple sites, you can have them only see behavior on a single site.
