Based on the news from Chedi and Yiche, Feifan Auto held its annual dealer meeting today. Wang Jun, general manager of SAIC Passenger Vehicles and CEO of Feifan Auto, emphasized that the company will unswervingly Maintain independent operations and maintain the rhythm of launching a new car every year.

Officials stated that the brand’s positioning will be to delve into the 200,000-class mainstream new energy market and target young families with “more pragmatic technology”. Comfort and intelligence will become the key point of differentiated competition. Feifan, as a new energy brand wholly owned by SAIC Motor, will continue to assume SAIC’s role as a “leader” in Feifan brand improvement and model innovation. In terms of operations, Feifan will maintain the independence of its channels and marketing functions, and SAIC will continue to empower Feifan Auto.

In terms of specific products, Feifan’s third new car is expected to be launched within this year, with a size similar to the current Feifan R7, forming a “sibling dislocation” relationship. At the same time, the models currently on sale (Note: Feifan F7 sedan and Feifan R7 coupe SUV) will also receive iterative updates within this year.

Earlier this month, in response to rumors of layoffs and even “bankruptcy,” Feifan Auto issued an announcement to its partners and dealers, saying that “everything is fine” with the company and that all car brands are undergoing an unprecedented change.

Feifan Automobile once said that on the premise of ensuring independent operation, the company will further deepen the “light asset” strategy, optimize business functions by strengthening the coordination with relevant superior resources of SAIC Group, focus on core businesses closely related to users, and improve the overall operational efficiency and respond to market changes in a healthier and more robust manner.
