EU launches double anti-investigation on China-origin JET electric bikes

China Trade Relief Information Network reported that on July 6, 2022, the European Commission issued a notice that launched a double-reverse reinvestigation on electric bicycles (Electric Bicycles) originating from China.

The scope of the investigation involves only the products of JET Electric Bicycle (Kunshan) Co. From July 7, 2022, the anti-dumping duties and countervailing duties on electric bicycles with pedals and auxiliary motors manufactured by JETRO Electric Vehicle (Kunshan) Co.

On October 20, 2017, the European Commission issued a notice to initiate an anti-dumping investigation into electric bicycles originating in China in response to an application submitted by the European Bicycle Manufacturers Association (the European Bicycle Manufacturers Association) on September 8, 2017.

On December 21, 2017, the European Commission issued a notice stating that, in response to an application filed by the European Bicycle Manufacturers Association (the European Bicycle Association) on November 8, 2017, the European Commission initiated an anti-subsidy investigation into electric bicycles originating in China.On January 18, 2019, the European Commission made final anti-dumping and countervailing decisions on electric bicycles originating in China.
