Elon Musk posted on Weibo that the purpose of this AI DAY event is to recruit engineers in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics, so the content will be quite hardcore.
Tesla’s AI Day 2022 will be on Oct. 1. It is reported that the conference will release more of its latest progress on AI such as fully automated driving FSD, humanoid robots, supercomputing DojoD1 chips, etc. Elon Musk also tweeted yesterday to warm up for AI Day, saying there will be lots of technical details and cool hardware demos.
This year’s AI Day will feature a prototype of Optimus Prime, a new concept introduced by Elon Musk at the first Tesla AI Day event last Aug. 19. Tesla said the robot will operate using the eight cameras used by its Autopilot system and will have a screen on its head in order to interact with humans. Elon Musk said that if the Optimus Prime can be mass-produced in the next two years, it will cost less than a car at scale, perhaps $25,000 (about 167,400 yuan).
