Game publisher Electronic Arts recently announced the termination of the development of two games “Apex Legends Mobile” and “Battlefield Mobile” after reviewing player feedback.
Apex Legends Mobile, which launched in May 2022, will be discontinued on May 1, 2023, EA said.
EA says it will disable in-game app purchases for Apex Legends Mobile starting at 1 p.m. ET on Jan. 31 and will remove the game from the App Store. However, players can continue to use their existing Syndicate Gold until May 1.
For the reason of this termination of development, EA and Respawn said that the game seems to be unable to meet the expectations of players.
The company also abandoned the development of Battlefield Mobile, which never made it to Apple’s App Store. instead, the company plans to continue the development of Battlefield 2042 and future titles in the series.
