Drop, known to DIY enthusiasts for its custom mechanical keyboards and related accessories has just launched a new product after a two-year hiatus. Compared to the third-party keyboard lineup introduced during the pandemic, the SENSE75 is a bit purer in pedigree. As the name suggests, the SENSE75 is a 75% compact keyboard. It is complemented by a full set of function keys and arrow keys, and offers the relatively common Delete and Page Up / Down keys on the right side.

But if you look closely, you will find that Drop is equipped with a knob in the upper right corner of the SENSE75. And after powering up, players can enjoy the RGB LED lighting effect.

It’s worth noting that the SENSE75 also features a hot-swappable key shaft design, meaning DIY enthusiasts can easily replace the key shaft they need.

The keyboard is also customizable via QMK and VIA to meet the typing needs of users.

Drop also utilizes the popular gasket mounting system for the first time on the SENSE75, claiming to help enhance the listening experience and some bounciness during typing.

Drop CEO Jef Holove said that in developing the 75% compact keyboard, they were committed to creating a product with great attention to detail and quality materials.

This means that not only do they have to deliver better performance than other competitors on the market, they also have to be able to meet the typing and customization preferences of the community players.

The good news is that after an intensive design and development process, Drop is now proud to introduce the SENSE75 personalized keyboard and can’t wait to get it into the hands of the community.

The Drop SENSE75 is said to offer the company’s Holy Panda X key shafts, new DCX keycaps, and factory-tuned Phantom stabilizers, with an optional quasi-system SKU that includes only the keyboard frame and PCB board.

In terms of colorways, the first launch will see only Nightfall Black / Electronic White, with pricing of $349 / $399 for pre-built versions and $249 / $299 for the prospective system versions. If all goes well, the Drop will begin shipping the SENSE75 in November.
