Denza Motors to launch “dual flagship” sedan products in the first half of 2024

Zhao Changjiang, general manager of BYD Denza’s sales division, delivered a New Year’s speech today and mentioned that 2024 will be a year of more intense competition across the board, and Denza will accelerate the “second half” process of intelligence.

Zhao Changjiang mentioned the product layout of Denza brand: several new models will be introduced to everyone, and the “dual flagship” sedan products launched in the first half of the year will consolidate the high-end product matrix. From other parts of Zhao Changjiang’s speech, we can also see that in the future, Denza Motors is expected to realize the “onboarding” of large AI models and the mass production application of L3 level autonomous driving. In addition, Denza Motors will start sales in Hong Kong and Macau.

Yesterday, Zhao Changjiang posted on Weibo that next year’s flagship sedan “will have a Elk test score of nearly 90km/h (or over 90).”

According to previous reports, earlier this year, camouflaged spy photos of Denza’s new sedan were exposed online. Some of them were entirely covered in camouflage, while others showed the outline of the car body. It can be roughly judged from the shooting location that these new cars are located not far from the gate of BYD’s headquarters factory in Shenzhen.

From the overall appearance, the new car has an extremely low and slender posture, a bit similar to the “hunting SUV” Denza N7 that was flattened. The overall size of the actual vehicle is expected to reach 5 meters, and combined with the low ground clearance, the visual impact is quite strong.
