Chery Automobile: January sales of 101,400 units up 16.5% year-on-year

Chery Holdings Group data show that January sales of 101,379 vehicles, an increase of 16.5%. Since last year, Chery Group has been selling more than 100,000 vehicles in a single month for eight consecutive months.

Among Chery Group’s major passenger vehicle brands, Chery sold 74,246 units in January, up 10% year-on-year; StarTour sold 4,752 units, up 20.8% year-on-year; and Jetway sold 16,009 units, up 59.3% year-on-year.

In terms of specific models, the monthly sales of Ruihu 8, Ruihu 7 and Jetway X70 were 10,856, 12,768 and 10,757 units respectively. In addition, the “intelligent and light luxury flagship” StarTour Yaoguang has been on blind order for more than a month and has accumulated more than 10,000 orders, with pre-sales starting at the end of January.

Chery Group’s four brands – Chery, StarTour, Jetway and Chery New Energy – jointly announced on February 1 that they will launch a “Lifetime Warranty for all models” policy. Chery Automobile said that in 2023, a number of new models such as Chery Ruihu 9, Xingtu Yaoguang, E03, and Jietu T-1 will be available.
