CHERRY today launched KW X ULP keyboard, using its MX ULTRA LOW PROFILE (ULP) mechanical axis. Previously, high-end gaming notebooks from manufacturers like Alien and MSI used this ultra-thin shaft.

According to the report, this specially developed shaft type is only 3.5 mm in height, which is 70% shorter than the standard MX shaft. Officials say that the keyboard thus offers a full mechanical typing feel despite its slim profile.

The keyboard is made with anodized and milled aluminum plates, supports connectivity via Bluetooth, 2.4G and wired, and has an internal rechargeable battery that can operate in wireless mode for weeks.

The CHERRY KW X ULP is available now on Amazon for a suggested retail price of $249.99 (currently about RMB 1,730).
