He also said that Google will soon enlist the help of partners to test an application programming interface (API) that will allow others to access the same underlying technology.

“Next week, we’ll enlist every Google person to help shape the Bard and contribute through a special company-wide ‘dog food’.” Sundar Pichai said. “Dog food” is a term used internally by companies to refer to using their own products before releasing them. “We look forward to all the feedback you can provide in the spirit of our internal hackathon, and more details will be announced soon.” He wrote in the email.

Earlier in the day, Sundar Pichai stressed the importance of testing when announcing Bard. “We will combine external feedback with our own internal testing to ensure that Bard’s responses meet the high standards that real-world information has for quality, security and fundamentals.” He said.

Google is currently under pressure from investors and employees to launch a product soon to counter the recent explosion of ChatGPT. meanwhile, ChatGPT investor Microsoft is fast-tracking the integration of ChatGPT, and the company will hold an event on Tuesday local time to announce the latest developments.
