BYD Auto announced that Haiyang.com’s new medium-sized “urban smart electric SUV” Sea Lion 07 EV will be equipped with “Eye of God” high-end smart driving and will support high-speed navigation and other smart driving functions.
According to the official introduction, “Eye of the God” is the world’s first in-vehicle computing platform that is completely designed, developed and produced by the OEM. Its algorithms are all self-developed, and it is also the first in the world to propose a vehicle-level integrated sensing platform. The high-speed navigation that will be installed on the Sea Lion 07 EV has multiple driving functions such as lane keeping, lane guidance, lever lane changing, traffic sign recognition, intelligent speed limit, etc., and is claimed to be able to comprehensively learn the driving strategies of human drivers.

According to previous reports, Sea Lion 07 EV appeared in the 379th batch of new product announcement catalogs of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s “Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Announcements”. The vehicle made its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show and is planned to be launched in the first half of 2024. The estimated price 200,000-260,000 RMB.
The length, width and height of the car are 4,830×1,925×1,620mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 2,930mm. According to previous official introductions, the car will provide rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive power systems, equipped with iTAC technology, using front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, and equipped with Yunnan C intelligent damping body control system.
Information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that the new car will be equipped with three power forms. The two-wheel drive model will provide 230kW and 170kW motors respectively, and the four-wheel drive model will have a maximum power of 160kW and 230kW at the front and rear motors respectively.
