According to BYD’s official Weibo, during the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand, which opened on March 26, BYD exhibited its full brand models overseas for the first time.

BYD announced at this auto show that in the third quarter of 2024, BYD’s Thai passenger car production base will be completed and put into production. At the same time, BYD locally released the 2024 version of BYD ATTO 3 long-range version, and announced the opening of blind ordering for Denza D9. Exhibited models also include the first right-hand-drive Song Max EV, BYD SEALION (Sea Lion 07), BYD SEAL U (Song PLUS EV), as well as the U9 and Formula Leopard 5.

According to previous reports, Chinese brands will account for 70~80% of Thailand’s pure electric vehicle market in 2023. The top four annual sales of electric vehicles in Thailand are all Chinese brands, and Chinese brands account for eight of the top ten. It is expected that more Chinese electric vehicle brands will enter the Thai market in 2024. Statistics from “Thailand Car Life” show that the local electric vehicle sales rankings in 2023 are BYD, Neta, MG, Tesla, and Ora.

In addition, BYD Seal was also launched in Thailand last September. The car is available locally in three configurations: “dynamic version”, “exclusive version” and “four-wheel drive performance version”, with a price range of 1.325 million baht – 1.599 million baht (currently about 264,000 RMB- 318,000 RMB).
