Blackmagic Design Announces New HDR + Film Scanner for RMB 279,550

The new Cintel Scanner G3 HDR + was released today with a newly designed light source that allows for real-time HDR film scanning, according to Blackmagic Design’s official news.

According to the official introduction, the new Cintel Scanner G3 HDR + completely redesigned light source part, can Ultra HD real-time scanning of HDR film. This new model also retains the Cintel Scanner’s digital servo, gentle roller drive, advanced color science, 35mm and 16mm film support, and an elegant architectural aesthetic that can be mounted on a wall. Officially, Cintel Scanner can convert large film libraries into new Ultra HD masters for uploading for streaming and online sales.

In addition, Cintel Scanner incorporates Blackmagic Design’s new image processing technology and features a PCIe interface and Thunderbolt 3 interface. You can connect it to a Mac, Windows or Linux computer and scan film directly into the color mixing system.

The Cintel Scanner G3 HDR+ is priced at RMB 279,550 and is now available on Blackmagic Design’s website.
