ASUS ROG Swift OLED will soon launch with a 138Hz refresh rate

After the CES 22, there was no word on the ASUS ROG Swift OLED monitors up until now. Currently, a landing page on the ASUS ROG official website carries full specifications and features of the Swift OLED PG48UQ. This proves that it’d soon be available for sale, let’s take a quick look at the specifications of this gaming monitor.

We already know that ROG products come with a lot of gaming specifications and features, that is the same with this ASUS ROG Swift OLED monitor. A 48-inch 4K OLED screen with 138Hz refresh rate and 0.1ms response time for an immersive gaming experience. Colour representation on this monitor is promising with HDR, true 10-bit colour, and 98% DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. The display also promises an anti-glare micro-texture coating to reduce light reflections that distort the viewing experience.

This monitor doesn’t come with an in-built processor, but it doesn’t come with a powerful graphics card. The NVIDIA GeForce graphics card ensures a stable variation in refresh rate while gaming. The stability will help prevent lagging or shuttering to help games run smoothly.

ASUS ROG Swift OLED

In terms of design, the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG48UQ monitor comes with a slim design. Bezels on the screen are narrow, helping a near borderless design for an immersive viewing experience. It also comes with smart cooling heatsinks which help reduce temperature while in use. On the inside, cooler air from a fanless system helps drive out hot air and keeps the monitor cool.

There is also a rich array of connection ports to help this monitor easily connect to external devices (CPUs or displays). The following connection ports come with the PG48UQ monitor:

  • Four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
  • Tripod socket
  • Two HDMI 2.0
  • Two HDMI 2.1
  • Display port 1.4
  • Headphone jack

At the moment there is no price tag for this monitor, but soon it’d be available for sale, and we’ll update with its price. At CES 22 the ROG Swift came with two models, a 48-inch model and a 42-inch model. Soon, a landing page for the 42-inch model will also be available on the ASUS ROG official website
