Tesla demonstrates FSD in Europe, requiring only 1 intervention in 45 minutes

Tesla is actively promoting regulatory approval of its latest autonomous driving assistance system FSD 12. Following the United States and Canada, Europe and China have also become its target markets. Recently, Tesla invited a senior consultant from the Swedish Transport Administration to experience the FSD 12 system and received positive reviews. It is worth mentioning that this is also the first time Tesla FSD has appeared in Europe.

It is reported that the senior consultant named Rikard Fredriksson took a midnight cherry red Model Y to experience the driving performance of the FSD 12 system on German roads. Fredriksson previously held a product safety position in the Apple car project and was responsible for the safety assessment of autonomous driving technology. He is a senior expert in evaluating FSD systems.

Fredriksson was impressed by the test ride and described the FSD 12’s driving assistance as “impressive, smooth and natural”.

Fredriksson said that during the 45-minute drive in Munich, Germany, the driver only needed to intervene once. “It took us 45 minutes to get from the center of Munich to the airport. When two lanes merged, the car next to us refused to let us merge, and the driver had to Intervene once.”

It is noticed that Tesla is actively promoting the global launch plan of FSD and plans to release the Robotaxi robot taxi service on August 8. In order to implement fully autonomous driving Robotaxi services, Tesla needs to accumulate enough FSD driving data and continuously optimize the system through this data. By the end of the year, Tesla will have 85,000 Nvidia H100 AI chips used to process autonomous driving data.

Industry insiders believe that if Tesla can prove that FSD is safer than a human driver, it will be able to obtain regulatory approval faster and thus successfully launch a fully autonomous robotaxi service.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk made a surprise visit to China yesterday. Yesterday evening, Tesla issued a document stating that it would continue to work hard in China, develop together with the industry in areas such as artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, and energy storage, and accelerate the implementation of clean energy and autonomous driving technologies. , turning beautiful visions into reality. This is Elon Musk’s second visit to China after a year. According to foreign media reports, Elon Musk’s sudden visit to China is aimed at promoting the implementation of Tesla’s intelligent driving system FSD in China.
