The new ASUS Chromebook 14 features AMD Ryzen 3 7320C processors based on AMD’s “Mendocino” architecture, a Chromebook-specific version of the AMD Ryzen 3 7320U Mendocino processor with four AMD Zen 2 CPU cores, 8 threads and support up to 4.2GHz, and AMD Radeon 610M integrated graphics with two RDNA 2 compute units at up to 1.9GHz, enough for video playback and light gaming.
The ASUS Chromebook 14 weighs 3.97 pounds (about 1802.38 grams), is 0.82 inches (about 20.83 mm) thick, features a 1080p webcam, HDMI, 3.5 mm audio and microSD slot ports, and one USB Type-A port and two USB Type-C ports, supports WiFi 6, and has LPDDR5 memory and SSD solid-state storage, and no backlit keyboard support.
ASUS and AMD also recently announced a Chromebook Flip CM34 model with 360-degree hinge support and support for up to 16GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, and up to a Ryzen 5 7520C processor with stylus support that can be placed on the side of the laptop.
