Aston Martin DBR22 open cockpit performance car will roll out within the week

The Aston Martin DBR22 is preparing to make its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event which will kick-off this week.

In a bid to resurrect the iconic DBR1, the British sports car manufacturer is rolling out the Aston Martin DBR22. The DBR22 takes some design lessons from the DBR1 racing car. This performance vehicle is to debut on August 19, but its maker has already given away some of its features.

When we say that the Aston Martin DBR22 take design lessons from the DBR1, we aren’t only talking about its exterior. On the inside of this new vehicle, we can observe some modifications to the original DBR1’s interior. But the DBR22 steps things up when it comes to performance, just like other vehicles fromthe British sport car manufacturer, the new performance vehicle comes with a twin-turbo 5.2-litre V-12 engine.

This engine can assure a rider of 705 horsepower and over 555 pound-feet of torque, helping the car reach 60mph in just 3.4seconds. On the inside of the Aston Martin DBR22, the manufacturer uses carbon fibre on the grill, a design which reminisces the DBR1. The new entry to Aston Martin’s DBR line-up is in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Aston Martin’s bespoke Q division.

This vehicle will hit the stage in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance event, which will kick off this week. According to our sources, there is no information on the number of units available for purchase. But, the price of this performance vehicle will run into millions once available for purchase.
