Developer “aaronp613” previously found the model number A3048 AirPods headphones in the system code of Apple iOS 16.4 RC version. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, this should be the USB-C version of AirPods Pro 2, which is expected to be shipped in large quantities in the second to third quarter of this year.

Ming-Chi Kuo also mentioned that Apple does not appear to have plans to offer USB-C versions of AirPods 2 & 3 at this time.

In September last year, Apple officially released the second generation of AirPods Pro, priced at 1899 CNY. Powered by the new H2 chip, the new AirPods Pro unlock breakthrough audio performance with major upgrades to Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode.

According to reports, AirPods Pro 2 is equipped with a new H2 chip, and the noise reduction ability can be as high as twice that of the previous generation AirPods Pro. AirPods Pro 2 feature new low-distortion audio drivers and a custom amplifier that deliver richer bass and unparalleled clarity across a wider frequency range.

In terms of sound quality, personalized spatial audio allows AirPods to provide a more immersive listening experience. Each user perceives sound differently, depending on the size and shape of each person’s head and ears. Users can use the iPhone’s TrueDepth camera to create a spatial audio personal profile for a listening experience fine-tuned just for them.
