We are going closer and closer to the launch of the upcoming 2022 lineup of Apple iPhones. The Apple iPhone 14 series will reportedly launch in the month of September, which is not too far from now. Pretty much information about the device has already been leaked online. Now, a report is hovering online that claims that Apple will hike the prices of iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

Apple 14 Pro and Pro Max to get costlier?

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is going to hike the prices of the iPhone 14 lineup, hence, making it more expensive. However, he has further stated that not all the models will become costlier but only “iPhone 14 Pro” and “iPhone 14 Pro Max” will get more expensive. This could be good news for the buyers who are going to buy the rest two models in the lineup. But, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max is going to be heavy on the pocket of their buyers.

There have been multiple reports claiming the same brand is not increasing the prices for just their own profit, but there are other reasons as well, such as; upgraded expensive camera sensors, production costs and the geopolitical circumstances that might compel Apple to review its prices, particularly given the strengthening dollar against the euro.

He has added that the combination of the price increases for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max and a “higher proportion of shipments” will be sufficient to raise the series 14 average selling price to an all-time high of $1,000 to $1,050. He asserts that the cost would be 15% higher than the iPhone 13 to put that figure into perspective.
