Apple Releases macOS Ventura Beta 13.2(b) Rapid Security Response Update

0

Apple today released the second Rapid Security Response (RSR) update for macOS Ventura 13.2 Beta, nearly a month after Apple made the first Rapid Security Response test available on the Mac.

macOS Rapid Security Response 13.2 (b) is automatically applied to the Mac on reboot and is also added to Safari when the Safari app is exited and reopened.

The first RSR release for the Mac does not appear to add new functionality, which Apple has ensured is effective by deploying the feature so that actual security updates can be made beforehand. Today’s update is only 13.4MB in size and is expected to be a small test. Rapid Security Response is part of the iOS 16 and macOS Ventura feature updates.

Apple has also previously released several iOS 16 Quick Security Response updates in a test capacity.
