Apple plans to hold a public hearing next week on plans to demolish an office building on the Cupertino campus. The demolition plan has already been approved by the city’s planning commission, and the hearing will focus on hearing the opinions of surrounding residents.

According to documents submitted to Cupertino authorities, Apple plans to demolish an office building in the Apple VP1 at 19191 Vallco Parkway offices and then reconstruct a new office building that will more than double the size of the site.

Apple plans to open up some of the commercial space in the new office building, but it’s not clear if it will be used for an Apple Store, a coffee shop, or other uses.
