In his latest tweet, Mark Gurman said that Apple is registering the trademark “xrOS” worldwide through a shell company. The trademark could be used for the first AR / VR system to be launched this year.
Gurman says Apple has recently filed for the “xrOS” update in New Zealand, citing trademark application number 1228101, which was filed by Deep Dive LLC. Although the headset is not mentioned in the trademark filing, it is clearly linked to Apple’s upcoming AR/VR headset.
