Indian telecom operators Airtel, Jio and Vi launched their 5G services in October this year. These operators are only offering 5G services in a few areas. However, in order to achieve 5G connectivity, smartphone manufacturers must roll out firmware updates for eligible devices. A few weeks ago, Apple India confirmed that eligible iPhones will receive a firmware update in December that will enable 5G connectivity. India will have 13 models of iPhones with 5G connectivity.
