Apple files trademark for SignChat to provide sign language services

According to a list published by the European Union Intellectual Property Office over the weekend, Apple has been approved for a new trademark called “SignChat,” which Apple has already applied to its German website.

Apple’s German website reads, “Welcome to SignChat sessions. Use the SignChat service for shopping recommendations and after-sales support.

The trademark was filed in international classes 09, 35, 37, 38, 41, and 42. After checking the Google Play Store and found an Android app with the same name, which is primarily used for messaging, not sign language services.
