Apple CEO Tim Cook tweets remembrance of Steve Jobs

Apple’s current CEO Tim Cook today in the X (Twitter) platform in remembrance of the 12th anniversary of the death of Steve Jobs.

He tweeted, “Remembering a pioneer who challenged convention, a visionary who changed the world, a mentor in life and a dear friend of mine. We miss you, Steve.”

Steve Jobs died on October 5, 2011, after years of battling pancreatic cancer. After Jobs’ death, Apple held a “Remembering Steve” event at its Infinite Loop campus, featuring speeches by Tim Cook, Jonny Ive and others.

The Steve Jobs Archive was launched last September to bring Jobs’ life to a wider audience. The archive includes a curated series of exhibits and publications that “recognize his relentless focus on the future by bringing his commitment to excellence and epic sense of possibility to a new generation.”
