Over the years we have been getting information on the Apple Car Project, and now the position of senior manager is shifting. This shake-up of positions of authority is coming in light of Jonathan Sive leaving the team to join Rivan. Jonathan took charge of the design and hardware engineering of the Apple Titan project and he’s exiting the team and will leave his position open.

Well, his exiting the team will not affect the project as already we know that there is ready talent to fill in his vacant spot. But losing the talent on the ground will affect the work pattern of the project, which has already come a long way. This is a big loss on the part of Apple, as the project might face some drawbacks as the project adjusts to new leadership.

Rivan on its part will benefit from the talent and skill set of Jonathan Sive as he moves over to join their product design team. He will take up the role of a VP of Vehicle Architecture and Mechanical Integration, helping to develop Rivan’s next electric truck. By taking up this new role, Jonathan will help reimagine the next generation of Rivan electric vehicles as the company aims to improve its production scale.

This is yet another loss for Apple as some of their top executives step down and head to pick up roles with other companies. We expect to get more information on the progress of the Apple Car Project in the coming years. With the growth of the EV sector globally, Apple can be sure to face serious competition from other brands that already have a strong community.
