AMD Zen4 processor conquers PS3 emulator developers with world’s first performance

0

Not long ago, we reported that the well-known PS3 emulator software RPCS3 announced that it has added support for the AMD Zen 4 architecture AVX-512 instruction set, resulting in a significant improvement in game performance. This is not over yet. The ranking announced by RPCS3 shows that the Ryzen 9 7950X surpassed the Core i9-12900K and became the model with the highest performance in the S-level list of its emulator performance.

Although turning AVX-512 on or off does not affect the normal use of the RPCS3 emulator, in the AMD Zen4 generation, it can actually achieve a game performance improvement of up to 35% after turning it on, which will substantially change the experience.

In comparison, Intel’s side has only a 5% change.

However, AMD Zen4 is expected to soon usher in the new and difficult opponent of the 13th generation Core. The current arrangement is to go on sale on October 20, and pre-orders will be opened one week in advance.
