AMD Radeon RX 7000 Graphics Card Brings New Features to Support High Resolution/High Frame Rate Gaming

According to WccfTech news, AMD CEO Su Zifeng said at an investor conference that the next-generation RDNA 3 GPU, which will be launched later this week, will use the most advanced gaming graphics architecture and 5-nanometer chips. The chip is designed to dramatically increase performance and performance-per-watt and includes new features to support high-resolution, high-frame-rate gaming.

The new feature that Su Lifeng mentioned to support high-resolution, high-frame-rate games is likely to be the FSR 3.0 super-resolution sampling technology to counter NVIDIA’s DLSS 3.0.

In September this year, AMD announced a new iteration of time-domain sampling amplification technology-FidelityFX Super Resolution (Super Resolution Sharp Painting, referred to as FSR) 2.1. FSR 2.1 includes updates to algorithms that improve in-game image quality while reducing artifacts such as ghosting and splash screen.

Regarding AMD’s upcoming RX 7000 graphics card, whistleblower @9550pro has shared a photo of the first public version of the graphics card.

According to the latest news, AMD’s new RX 7900 series graphics cards will not be available until early December after the November 4 release. AMD launched two models this time, the suffixes are XTX and XT, and the video memory is 24GB and 20GB respectively. Both graphics cards will be based on AMD’s 5nm RDNA3 architecture Navi 31 GPU, the XTX model has a 12288 stream processor with 24GB 384bit 20Gbps GDDR6 video memory, and the XT model has a 10752 stream processor with 20GB 320Bit 20Gbps GDDR6 video memory.
