AMD pits the R9 7950X3D against the i9-13900KS, and it’s more energy efficient

According to VideoCardz, AMD has sorted out information about the Ryzen 7000 series processors in its latest “Meet The Expert” campaign, along with the Intel processor models it is benchmarking against.

As shown above, AMD is benchmarking the latest R9 7950X3D processors against Intel’s flagship i9-13900KS, the R9 7900X3D against the i9-13900K, and the R7 7800X3D, which will be available in April, against the i7-13700K.

AMD also highlights the energy efficiency of the R9 7950X3D, claiming that its performance per watt in Cinebench R23 exceeds that of the i9-13900K by 96%.

AMD said in the PPT, “You don’t need a power-hungry processor to deliver top performance. the AMD R9 7950X3D processor delivers leading-edge performance per watt while delivering incredible multitasking power.”

The AMD R9 7950X3D gaming processor and AMD R9 7900X3D gaming processor are available now for $5,299 and $4,499 respectively. 8-core R7 7800X3D will be available in April, with no Chinese price announced yet.

The parameters are as follows.

  • R9 7950X3D: 16 cores, 32 threads, up to 5.7GHz, 144MB cache, 120W TDP
  • R9 7900X3D: 12 cores, 24 threads, up to 5.6GHz, 140MB cache, 120W TDP
  • R7 7800X3D: 8 cores, 16 threads, up to 5.0GHz, 104MB cache, 120W TDP
