Airtel India is now in an agreement with connectivity providers to begin the rollout of 5G to its customers. The partners are Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung, they will work closely with Airtel to provide 5G infrastructure to India. Technology from these three companies will be put to good use by Airtel.

Only two current partners in this agreement with Airtel, have a long-standing relationship with the network provider. Ericsson and Nokia have long-standing relationships with Airtel India as they worked on 4G network connectivity in the past years. The only new partner in this agreement is Samsung, and it will work closely to ensure the successful rollout of 5G in India.

This 5G partnership will follow the heel spectrum as set by the Department of Telecom in India. The spectrums are as follows 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 3300 MHz, and 26 GHz frequency. At its peak, this set spectrum should ensure a stable connection across its range or coverage.

All parties to this agreement are very positive about its success and are sure they would satisfy the connectivity needs of Airtel customers in India. It is good to note that although this roll put will kick off within the month, it will take a while to spread across regions in India. Once ready in India, 5G connections will be available in top cities across the country and then to other areas.
