AirPods Pro 2 has pairing threshold Only iPhone 11 and newer devices will get full functionality

The AirPods Pro 2 is expected to be released with the iPhone 14 series this fall. The latest news says that if you want to experience the full features of AirPods Pro 2, you’ll need at least an iPhone 11 and a newer device to do so. Notable tipster ShrimpApplePro revealed in a tweet, “It’s worth mentioning here that the full functionality of AirPods Pro 2 requires iPhone 11 and newer devices, some iPads and Mac devices with Apple Silicon.

Sources say that AirPods Pro 2 is expected to come with an enhanced chip and support for Lossless Audio. tweets suggest that AirPods Pro 2 sets the bar for pairing devices, with only eligible devices getting full functionality.

The information we have so far is that the iPhone 11 is the first iPhone to be equipped with the U1 chip, while Mac devices have transitioned to their own Apple Silicon like the M1/M2. These compatible features could include features like Lossless Audio, enhanced tracking charging cases, and more.

Unfortunately, the information we have so far doesn’t indicate that AirPods Pro 2 will introduce any health-related features, but Apple may do so in future iterations. Regardless of what device is paired with AirPods Pro 2, Apple is expected to improve active noise cancellation and enhance battery life performance.
