Longxin Zhongke announced that SMBIOS specification has supported LoongArch, since then the basic hardware information developed based on LoongArch platform will be standardized and displayed uniformly.

IT House has learned that SMBIOS (System Management BIOS) is a unified specification for motherboard or system manufacturers to follow to display product management information in a standard format.

SMBIOS is the mainstream standard for the information industry, providing specifications for DMI (Desktop Management Interface) information management systems, including serial numbers, computer manufacturers, serial port information, and other system accessory information. Currently, the standard developed by LSC based on Dragon architecture has been included in the latest SMBIOS unified specification (v3.6.0).

The unified standard will help board and host manufacturers, as well as upstream developers in the open source community who develop IP cores based on the LA architecture, to provide them with a well-documented CPU ID and form a unified identity for the CPU and underlying firmware of the LA architecture platform.

In addition, initial support for the LongXin LoongArch CPU architecture has been incorporated into Linux 5.19, including the final system call interface and all core functions.
