Digital innovation and development (Xinjiang) Summit was held in Urumqi. At the summit, Kingsoft Office officially released the WPS Office Viharkovin version, and jointly set up a multilingual technology development laboratory with Xinjiang University.
Xinjiang is China’s ethnic minority areas, Uighurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz (hereinafter referred to as “Uyghur”) language and script are similar, as the main language and script is widely used in Xinjiang.
Previously Kingsoft Office has released WPS Office Mongolian version, WPS Office Tibetan version, through the release of WPS Office Uyghur version, will help Xinjiang region to achieve language information and office digital transformation.
According to the official introduction, WPS Office Viharko version on the basis of the original WPS Office, adding custom layout, line feeds by syllable, embedded Viharko input method and Viharko common templates and other features.
WPS Office also supports complex text processing and adds humanized features such as text orientation adjustment and mixed typesetting according to language and text processing habits to ensure users’ experience in different office scenarios.
As early as 2012, Kingsoft Office products and teams have covered the Xinjiang region, including more than 3500 party and government agencies, institutions, various enterprises and financial institutions. During this period, Kingsoft Office supported the creation of a unified document support center and electronic document repository across Xinjiang.
In the joint development of WPS Office Viharkovin version on the basis of Kingsoft Office and Xinjiang University officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement to build a multilingual technology development laboratory to enhance the scientific research capabilities of professional scholars, and jointly promote the development of language and writing information.
At the summit, Kingsoft Office also donated WPS Office Suite to more than 20 primary and secondary schools throughout Xinjiang for daily office and educational teaching support.
