Acura ZDX electric SUV spy shots first revealed, mass production will begin in 2024

In August this year, Acura launched the Precision EV concept car. The new car is the brother model of the Honda Prologue. Acura officially stated that the new car will be named ZDX and will be released and mass-produced in 2024. In addition, this model will also provide a sports version of the TYPE S in the future.

Existing media have photographed road test spy photos of the new car, which will feature slender head and tail lights and a huge front grille shape, very similar to the Chevrolet Trailblazer EV, and its windshield pillars and B-pillars, The C-pillar layout is very similar to the Lyriq, but the D-pillar is a unique design.

In terms of interior design, the new Acura ZDX looks likely to have a central control layout similar to the Honda Prologue. The only spy photos can find that the central floating touchscreen style is basically the same as the Honda Prologue, which may include 11.3 inches. Honda has already signed a cooperation agreement with GM, and will use the GM Ultium platform to build a new pure electric SUV, so the ZDX will be produced together with the Cadillac Lyriq SUV at the assembly plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, and it is expected to be used with Cadillac. The Lyriq is built with the same battery, electronic controls and electric drive technology.

The new Acura ZDX is expected to use a rear-mounted electric motor design, the base model can reach 340 horsepower, and there may be a 500-horsepower all-wheel drive version.
