We have information that the coming 10th generation iPad will use the A14 Bionic chip. It’d also upgrade its port from what is currently available and make use of the USB Type-C port. These upgrades are quite significant for certain reasons.

This iPad will launch in the line-up of the most affordable iPads in the market. The iPad it will succeed currently sells at a retail price of 2,218 yuan (~$329). At this price, the 9th generation iPad stands as the most affordable iPad. It comes with a 10.2-inch screen and uses the A13 Bionic chip.

The currently available iPad (9th generation) also comes with a 20W lightning cable. For its connectivity, this generation of the iPad supports 4G internet connections. These features are among the things the coming new generation iPad will upgrade.

10th generation iPad

First, the 10th generation iPad will upgrade to the A14 bionic chip. This upgrade will assure users of this coming iPad of 5G internet connection and higher processing power. Another significant change that this model of the iPad will bring is a total switch to a USB Type-C port.

Previous iPad models all make use of the lightning port, and the new generation iPad Pro, Air, and Mini all use Type-C ports. Apple as well plans to introduce the Type-C port to the coming iPad model. This might mark a possible switch of all Apple products to using the standard EU charging cable (USB Type-C).

Aside from changes in processor and charging cable, the 10th generation iPad might share similarities with the current iPad model. Similarities such as design, build, and pricing might reflect in the coming iPad. There is no information from Apple regarding this iPad, all available information is leaks. We expect to see this device launch alongside the iPhone 14 series.
