After Qualcomm announced the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, ZTE and its Nubia announced that their new flagships will be the first to be equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2).

The names of the new flagships from ZTE and Nubia have not yet been announced. Considering the product plans of both brands, the new models with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform are expected to be the iterations of the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra and Nubia Z40S Pro.

The new flagship is expected to be the second generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, said Ni Fei, president of ZTE’s terminal business unit and president of Nubia Technology Co.

The second generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform uses a 4nm process and a new 1+2+2+3 architecture, including a 3.2GHz Cortex-X3-based Kryo super core, four 2.8GHz performance cores (2×Cortex A715+2×Cortex A710) and three 2.0GHz Cortex-A510 performance cores. -A510 energy cores.

In addition, the second-generation Snapdragon 8 features the Snapdragon X70 5G modem and RF system with an integrated Qualcomm 5G AI processor and is the first Snapdragon mobile platform to support 5G+5G / 4G dual SIM.
