The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition has launched as a follow up to the Axon 40 Ultra that became official in the second quarter of 2022. This successor comes with some changes to the device’s design and more RAM capacity. Asides from these changes the devices stay the same as the original release, here are some of its best features.
With the new Space Edition of the Axon 40 Ultra, the Chinese manufacturer did away with the camera bump, replacing it with a floss design. The camera bump now blends into the rest of the devices on the back panel, giving it a better look than the original Axon 40 Ultra. Also, this limited edition comes with new material from the back panel, it uses a ceramic panel giving it a more premium look.

The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition comes with 18GB worth of RAM and 1TB worth of fast storage in place of the 12GB available on the original release. The processor on this device stays the same as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in its original edition. So, in terms of performance, this device will offer a similar user experience to the original Axon 40 Ultra.
Another amazing feature of this device is its 6.8-inch AMOLED under-display camera screen panel that gives an end-to-end viewing experience. For its cameras, this device comes with a triple rear camera setup housing three 64MP camera lenses and the under-display front-facing camera holds a 16MP lens. The device runs on Android 12 with customizations from MyOS 12.0, and it has a security chip for extra protection.
The battery capacity on this device is 5000mAh, and it supports 80W fast charging for a quick battery refill. Its packaging is also different, as its design carries elements of the Space Edition theme. This device is currently available for pre-order in China, but we aren’t certain if it will make its way to the global market.
