According to foreign media electrek, Zeekr Motors recently announced that it will move its EU headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, to a new location near Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After the relocation, Zeekr plans to recruit more employees overseas and continue to explore new markets.

It is reported that before this, Zeekr’s EU branch had been operating in Gothenburg, close to the Geely Group’s Volvo, Polestar and Lynk & Co headquarters. Spiros Fotinos, Zeekr’s head of Europe, previously said that the company hopes to become one of the top three high-end pure electric vehicle manufacturers within ten years. Zeekr is seen moving its EU headquarters to the Netherlands as part of a plan to recruit new employees from a larger talent pool.

According to the latest news from Automotive News Europe , the automaker plans to bring 80 of its employees currently responsible for operations in Sweden to the new headquarters, which will be based near Schiphol Airport in the south of Amsterdam. In addition to the top management staff transitioning from Gothenburg to Amsterdam, Zeekr said it will add an additional 100 people by the end of 2023.
While Amsterdam will now be the home of its EU headquarters, Zeekr says it will maintain a steady presence in Gothenburg with the other brands mentioned above. Currently, Zeekr still has about 1,000 employees in its technical center in Sweden and about 500 employees in its design center.

According to previous reports, Zeekr launched in the Swedish and Dutch markets in June this year, and both Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X models are currently available for pre-order. Taking the Dutch market as an example, the starting price of Zeekr 001 is 59,490 euros, and the starting price of Zeekr X is 44,990 euros. At present, the first batch of European version of Zeekr 001 has arrived in Europe, and officials said that delivery will begin this year.
