Gu Hong pointed out that if Chinese car companies want to survive to the end, they need to sell at least 3 million cars a year with the support of global exports, and half of the deliveries may come from markets outside China. “To join that ‘3 million club’, you can’t just be a Chinese player, you have to be a global player.”

He also pointed out that it may be difficult for Chinese car companies to enter the US market today, and the group needs time to research and find ways to enter the market. Even so, he believes that the group still sees many growth opportunities in markets outside China.
