With the sharp drop in the stock price of Xpeng G9 after its listing, the topic of electric car energy supplementation has once again sparked consumer discussions, such as pure electric overcharging, battery replacement or program extension. Later, it was reported that Xpeng Motors will be equipped with extended-range power, and some people even swore that it has already been done. The vehicle R&D department is already studying how to make the new platform simultaneously produce a hybrid and pure electric dual model, which has been launched. Cars such as the G9 are pre-researched on the feasibility and cost of retrofitting.

Yesterday, a Weibo blogger said that Xpeng Motors did discuss the matter of “extending program power”, but this does not mean anything. Xia Heng, the president and co-founder of Xpeng Motors, also made a statement on the matter. He said: “Everyone thinks too much, but there is really nothing!”

Xpeng released the Xpeng S4 self-developed super-charging station on August 15 this year, and the first batch of S4 super-fast charging stations were launched in 5 cities at the end of September.

According to reports, the Xpeng S4 self-developed supercharger has a single-pile maximum power of 480kW, a single-pile maximum current of 670A, and a peak charging power of 400kW. It supports Xpeng G9 and claims to charge 200km in 5 minutes (CLTC).
