The business scope includes battery manufacturing and battery spare parts production.
According to previous reports from 36 Krypton, Xpeng Motors has put self-developed batteries on the agenda, and Zhong Liang, a former senior battery engineer at BMW, is in charge. It is said that Xpeng’s battery research and development team currently has about 100 people. At present, Xpeng has a lot of communication with the upstream material supply chain. The initial landing period of its self-developed battery is about 5 years. In response, Xpeng Motors responded that the personnel changes are true, but self-developed batteries are “nothing”.

Regarding the establishment of this entity company, Xpeng Motors stated that it has no connection with self-made batteries.
