According to the official website of the State Intellectual Property Office, the patent for “display assembly and vehicle” applied by Xiaomi Automobile has been authorized and announced on July 18, 2023.
The abstract shows that the patent designs a display assembly for a vehicle, including a display screen, a translation mechanism, a first rotation mechanism and other components. Wherein, the translation mechanism can drive the first rotation mechanism to translate, and the first rotation mechanism can drive the display screen to “rotate around the rotation axis extending in the horizontal direction”.
The display assembly claims to “be able to realize the translation of the display screen while meeting the occupant’s use needs after lying down.”
It is worth noting that there is already a similar model on the market — Zeekr X. The central control panel of the car can slide from the central position of the central console to the position directly in front of the co-pilot through the electric mechanism. Under the current trend that more and more new cars are equipped with both the central control panel and the co-pilot panel, it looks particularly different.
It was previously reported that digital blogger @Digital chat station once posted that Xiaomi’s first car will be launched next year, and it will be equipped with self-developed chips and car-machine system architecture with “good gold content”. In addition, Xiaomi Motors has also started the screening work of the delivery center, and the quotation for the first model has been completed. Car blogger @MetaAuto also exposed the detailed parameters of the Xiaomi car battery: it is expected to support 800V high-voltage fast charging, with a capacity of 101 kWh. Many car bloggers pointed out that this battery “should be a ternary lithium version”.
