Xiaomi’s face recognition smart door lock X is on pre-order: 3D structured light at RMB 1,999

Xiaomi released the face recognition smart door lock X, the door lock with 3D structured light face recognition, equipped with an AMOLED screen, priced at RMB 3,299. Today, Xiaomi’s new face recognition smart door lock is available for pre-order, priced at RMB 2,199, with a pre-order arrival price of RMB 1,999, and expected to start shipping on September 28.

Xiaomi’s new face recognition smart door lock supports 3D structured light face recognition and has an integrated independent NPU processor inside, unlocking the door in less than 1 second. At the same time, the lock uses AI adaptive learning algorithms to continuously capture and learn face changes, making face recognition better and better the more you use it.

Xiaomi’s new face recognition smart door lock uses a financial payment-grade face recognition module, which guarantees a false face recognition rate of no more than 0.0001% through the collaboration of a scatter projector, infrared fill light and high-resolution infrared camera. The scatter projector can project 31,000 invisible light spots to extract facial depth information; the infrared camera can quickly capture faces in both day and night, and quickly complete recognition.

Xiaomi’s new face recognition smart door lock covers a height range of 1.3-2m, with a recommended recognition distance of 0.3-1m, and supports the maximum entry of 50 people’s face data. The smart door lock is also equipped with a Class C direct-insert lock cylinder and multiple anti-electromagnetic interference shields, making it immune to Tesla coil (small black box) attacks.

Xiaomi’s new face recognition smart door lock supports face, fingerprint, password, Bluetooth, key and other locking methods, and can be linked with Mi Home Smart. The smart door lock is powered by 10 x 5 dry cell batteries, providing 6 months of battery life. At the bottom of the front panel, there is a USB-C port for a temporary emergency power supply.

The new face recognition smart door lock does not support HomeKit and NFC unlocking and does not have an AMOLED screen with camera monitoring and real-time intercom compared to Xiaomi’s previously released Face Recognition Smart Door Lock X.
